Cast iron

Non-flammability, durability, resistance to corrosion or low thermal expansion. Cast iron products offer many advantages to customers, which is why they have been popularly used for several centuries. Cast iron is also environmentally friendly, as it does not contain toxic substances and can be recycled repeatedly. We have two types Gray cast iron with flake graphite and Ductile cast iron with nodular graphite available in stock:

An iron alloy with a carbon content of approximately 3 % and other elements. It is used for low-stress bearings, castings, in the production of machines, in the automotive industry, for art castings, sewage pipes, radiators or fittings.

This type of cast iron has a carbon content higher than 2.06 %. Ductile iron is extremely widespread in the automotive industry due to its excellent mechanical properties and good machinability. Currently, it is the most used cast iron.
